Historic Hike: Summit County Ethnobotany with Mark Rubash

This hike will focus on plants of the area and how they were used by those who came before us. We will look at (smell, feel and taste as well!) plant species and their uses as food and medicine; in addition, many plants were used for utilitarian purposes and some had special spiritual significance. The main focus is on the Indigenous peoples of past centuries, but Europeans also found some special uses.
