Learn about the building of Dillon Dam and the Roberts Tunnel\, the relocating the Old Town of Dillon and more Dillon history\, as well as about the geology\, and flora and fauna in the area. Bring a jacket\, hat\, and sunscreen. Weather can change rapidly on the lake! Please arrive 15 minutes early. DESCRIPTION:Celebrating 150 Years of Colorado Statehood \nJoin us at the Old Dillon Schoolhouse for a special meet and greet celebrating Colorado 150\, a yearlong online history exhibit exploring the people\, places\, and events that shaped Summit County across 150 years of statehood.   \nHear from Sally Queen and committee members as they share the inspiration behind the project\, memorable stories from the exhibit\, and highlights spanning three eras of local history\, including life in Summit County before Colorado achieved statehood in 1876.  Special guests Matt Benedict\, Red\, White & Blue Fire Protection District; Glenn Kraatz\, Summit Fire and Rescue and Sandy Mortensen\, philanthropist will join us to share their stories. \nThe full exhibit is available anytime at summithistorical.org\, but there’s nothing like hearing the stories in person!  Light refreshments.
